Library cards are available free of charge to all York County residents. To obtain a library card, bring a completed application and proof of your current address (driver's license, checkbook, paycheck stub) to any library location.

Each York County Library branch offers public computers with Internet access, as well as color printing, free W-Fi, and a variety of other technology services and classes. To access computers, you must agree to our Computer Use Policy.

Through outreach programs and the Bookmobile, York County Library provides books, materials, and library services to dozens of locations throughout the county, including daycares, after-school groups, and homebound residents.

With the exception of the Main Library in Rock Hill, all York County Library locations provide meeting rooms for use by non-profit organizations or community groups. Usage is free of charge, subject to our Meeting Room Policy.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is used to borrow materials York County Library does not own from other libraries. This service is available by request and subject to certain restrictions.

Book Club Kits are available to be checked out and used by book clubs and other groups for a book discussion. Kits contain 10 copies of the book and a discussion guide with questions and an author biography.
