Do you want to hear a story from YCL staff at any time? Call the Library’s Dial-A-Story phone line at 803-620-8585. You'll hear stories for adults, teens, and children, as well as music and songs, poetry, jokes and riddles, history tidbits, trivia, and more! You can also listen and download online.

Need a fax machine to send your faxes? The Library’s FaxScan24 service provides our patrons with the convenience of easily faxing worldwide. It’s fast, secure, reliable, and affordable to use!

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is used to borrow materials York County Library does not own from other libraries. This service is available by request and subject to certain restrictions.

Explore York County Library’s LibGuides, a collection of staff-created guides to help you get more from your library. Find reading lists for all ages, book club resources, program information, and tips for using the library’s apps and services. You’ll also find guides on topics like 3D printing, AI, grants, and community resources, along with tools for parents and educators.

YCL cards are free to all York County residents, property owners, workers, and students of higher education. To get a Library card, visit your local YCL location or the Bookmobile and bring a valid, current proof of identity and residency.

Library Lockers allow users to pick up requested materials easily with the swipe of a valid York County Library card, 24 hours a day.

Whether you're planning a community gathering or looking for a quiet place to focus, York County Library offers a variety of spaces to suit your needs. Usage is subject to our Meeting Room and Study Room policies.

T-Mobile hotspots are available to check out at all York County Library locations and the Bookmobile on a first-come, first-served basis. Checkout is limited to two weeks and one device per address.

York County Library patrons can send documents and photos to print at library printers using a laptop, tablet, smartphone, or other internet-connected device. Costs are 20¢ per black and white page and 60¢ per color page, with 24 hours to pick up print jobs at any of our five locations. 

Through the Bookmobile, Outreach Van, and Homebound Services, York County Library provides library materials and services to dozens of locations throughout the county, including daycares, after-school groups, and homebound residents.

Enjoy the great outdoors with a Park Pass! Park Passes can be checked out at all YCL locations and provide unlimited park entry for everyone in the vehicle.

A collection of MEternally Reminiscence Kits is available for checkout from the Outreach Department. These kits contain materials for anyone who has been personally diagnosed or is caring for someone with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other memory issues.

Each York County Library branch offers public computers with Internet access, as well as color printing, free W-Fi, mobile printing, hotspots, and a variety of other technology services.
