Faxing

Need a fax machine to send your faxes? The York County Library is excited to implement FaxScan24 at our Main Library in Rock Hill and our branch libraries at Fort Mill and Lake Wylie. The Library’s FaxScan24 service provides our patrons with the convenience of easily faxing worldwide. It’s fast, secure, reliable, and affordable to use! 

The fax machine is self-serve and costs $1.75 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page for faxes within the United States, Canada, and Caribbean. Pay for your faxes directly at the kiosk using your VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, or Discover credit/debit card. No cash can be accepted. The machine accepts credit/debit cards only. 

Confirmations of faxes sent are provided by text or by calling the FaxScan24 toll-free number at 1-800-468-2748. You can also check the status of your fax online.

What is FaxScan24?

  • The library’s FaxScan24 service provides our patrons with the convenience of easily faxing worldwide using our FaxScan24 Self-Service Kiosks. It’s fast, secure, reliable, and affordable to use!

How do I send a fax?

  • Stack up to 20 pages in the paper feed tray. Additional pages may be added as your document is being sent.

  • Lift the handset, then simply listen and follow the voice instructions.

 

Can the kiosks receive faxes?

  • No. These devices and the library are unable to receive FaxScan24 faxes.

 

How much does the library charge for fax services?

  • U.S., Canada, Caribbean: $1.75 for the first page; $1.00 each additional page.

  • International: $3.95 for the first page; $3.45 each additional page.

 

How do I pay for a fax?

  • Pay for your faxes directly at the kiosk using your VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, or Discover credit/debit card. No cash can be accepted.

 

Will I receive a confirmation receipt?

  • There is no confirmation receipt. Fax status is available at faxscan24.com.

 

Will I be charged for a failed fax?

  • No

 

What are the hours of operation for the fax kiosks?

  • Kiosks are available during the library’s regular operating hours but will be shut down each evening, 30 minutes prior to closing.

Who can I contact if I need help sending a fax?
