The York County Library reserves the right to photograph or record patrons for promotional purposes, in print and online, at the library or during library events. All library patrons consent to the use of their photo and/or video for such purposes, without compensation. No names will be used in conjunction with photos or recordings without express consent. Notify library staff if you do not want to be photographed or recorded.

The Totally Cool Winter Reading Challenge is back! We're joining Beanstack for its sixth annual Winter Reading Challenge. This year’s theme, "All the Feels," encourages readers of all ages to feel, experience, and dive into how reading enlivens our emotions. We challenge York County to read at least 2 million minutes as we compete for cash prizes! Join the challenge online or at any YCL location, starting November 28.

Our Fourth Annual York County Reads will take place February and March 2023! This exciting program promotes literacy and community engagement, connecting readers throughout York County as they read the same books at the same time. All ages can read one or all of our featured books about this year's theme, "Friendship, Unity, and Coming Together", meet the authors for discussions and Q&As, and enjoy other special York County Reads events. Simply register online to participate, find more activities, and win a prize!
