Reminiscence Kits
What are Reminiscence Kits?
YCL has a collection of MEternally Reminiscence Kits available for checkout from the Outreach Department. These kits contain materials for anyone who has been personally diagnosed or is caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory issues that can benefit from reminiscence therapy.
Reminiscence therapy is a great way to help seniors recall memories, process emotions, and strengthen social bonds. The included kit materials, such as photo albums, puzzles, music, and games, are designed to help them reminisce, connect with their past, and share stories with their peers in a safe, enjoyable setting.
Reminiscence Kit themes include:
-
Dogs, Cats, Birds • Farm, Vegetable Garden • Fishing, Great Outdoors
-
Handyman, Tools • Homemaker, Patriotic • Remembering the '50s and '60s
How do I check out a Reminiscence Kit?
To borrow a Reminiscence Kit, simply search our online catalog for "MEternally" and contact the Outreach Department. Kits can be checked out for an 8-week period but cannot be placed on hold.

Where can I find more information?
