Teen Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an important part of the Library and can help out in many ways. Please remember to read our Volunteer Guidelines for teens ages 12–18 before submitting the Online Application. Current volunteer opportunities at the Main Library in Rock Hill are listed below. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the York County Library! 

 

Teen Volunteer Opportunities:

 

  • VolunTeen Opportunity Program

  • Volunteers as needed for program assistance

  • Dungeon Master during Dungeons and Dragons sessions

  • Peer interaction during Back to School program (August)

  • Art projects

  • Teen Advisory Board

  • Handmade items for donations:

    • We accept handmade hats, mittens, scarves, and blankets.

    • We determine an average time given to each project.

  • Collect goods for donations:

    • We accept canned goods, canned food with ring-pulls, non-perishable foods, bottled water, small snacks, school supplies, and hygiene items.

    • We determine an average time given to each project.

  • Book summaries

  • Program ideas

  • Collection recommendation

  • Create coloring pages
