Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) presents public agencies with significant challenges. Please see below for answers to common questions. As this is a developing situation, information is subject to change.

York County Library is closed until further notice.

All in-person library services and programs are suspended at this time. Our Virtual Library and other online services will remain available to our patrons. Effective immediately we have increased the Hoopla borrowing limit to 8 items.

All library bookdrops are locked. Items that were originally due back during the closure will not accrue overdue fines. Please do not leave items at the library as we are not able to process returns during the closure.

The library is unable to accept donations during the closure. Please do not leave any donations outside the library. Donations left during the closure will be discarded as a safety precaution.

Can I still use the library from home?

Yes! Our Virtual Library is available 24/7 to all YCL cardholders, and offers a variety of streaming and downloadable content including ebooks, audiobooks, television, and movies.
