Area Children Complete Vacation Reading Program
Over 2,000 area children ages 3-12 completed the vacation reading program offered at all York County Libraries this summer. The program encourages children and their famililes to read for a minimum of 10 hours and visit the library during the summer.
The following were grand prize winners and received a gift certificate to Books-a-Million and a surprise gift: Madeleine Burrell, York; John Bush, Rock Hill; Skylar Conner, Rock Hill; Sarah Feaster, Clover; Adam Kingswood, Lake Wylie; and Kyle Perfyn, Fort Mill.
The York County Library vacation reading program includes special programs, performances and prizes for children ages 3-12 and is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
