Browse for Bargains at Friends' Book Sale
Pick up some great books for vacation reading and support the library at the Friends of the York County Library book sale, to be held July 13-15 at the former People’s Bank building, 133 E. Main Street, Rock Hill.
Friends’ preview night will be on Thursday, July 13, from 5-8 p.m. for Friends members, but memberships will be sold at the door to the general public. Memberships begin at $10 for individual memberships and $25 for families. They are valid for one year and include preview night admission to four book sales.
The sale is open to the public on July 14 from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. and July 15 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. There will be no Sunday hours at this sale.
The sale features thousands of hardcover and paperback books for adults and children, sold at $1.00 per inch, measuring the height of the book stack. Videos, audio books, and surplus library equipment will also be available at bargain prices.
Friends of the Library book sales are made possible by donations of books, videos, and other materials. Donations are accepted at any York County Library and are tax deductible.
