Beginning June 6, York County Library will once again offer four distinct summer reading programs, each with a "wellness, fitness, and sports" theme for 2016. All reading programs will feature special prizes and incentives for those who complete reading requirements, along with free programs for children, teens, and families.

All summer reading programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Friends Books on Main
Now Open Regular Hours

Friends Books on Main, the new Friends of the Library used book store, is now open weekly Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thousands of used books, DVDs, and audiobooks are for sale, priced from 50¢-$2. All proceeds benefit York County Libraries. The store is located at 206 E. Main St., Rock Hill (across from Amelie’s and the Gettys Center). Click here to view a map.

York County Library Closing Notices

  • Friday, May 27: The York Public Library will close at 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 28 - Monday, May 30: All York County Libraries will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday.
  • Sunday, May 29: The Main Library in Rock Hill will begin closing Sundays for the summer.
