Library Joins Safe Place Program

Safe Place

York County Libraries now serve as sites for National Safe Place, a community-based outreach and prevention program, where youth ages 1017 in communities across York County can seek immediate help.

Youth in crisis will see the yellow, diamond-shaped Safe Place signs at all York County Library branches and the Bookmobile, letting them know they can enter and receive the help they need. Find more about how Safe Place works at nationalsafeplace.org.

New Hours at Lake Wylie Library

For the added convenience of our patrons, Lake Wylie Public Library is now open an additional hour each Monday – Thursday, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Operating hours on Friday and Saturday will remain the same.

'Talk of the Town' on York County Library

Talk of the Town Carolinas host Patti Mercer interviewed the new York County Library Director Jason Hyatt. Jason talks about what the library system has to offer and the many community programs to support the York County area.
