
The Friends of the York County Library holds four book sales each year, in addition to several smaller specialized sales. More than 10,000 books for adults and children are included in every sale, as well as audio-visual materials. Materials are sorted by category and are priced as follows:
- Hardcover & softcover books for adults & children: $2.00 per inch, measuring the height of the book stack
- Mass-market paperbacks: 50¢ each
- DVDs & audiobooks: $2.00 each
- VHS tapes: $1.00 each
- All materials are half price on Saturday.

Opening night for Friends members:
Thursday, 5-8 p.m. Friends members only; annual memberships may be purchased or
renewed at the door, beginning at $10 for individuals and $25 for families.
Public Sale: Friday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday is half-price day!
On-Going Book Sales
Donated books are also sold year-round at the Main Library in Rock Hill, the York Public Library, the Fort Mill Public Library, and the Clover Public Library. Books are in excellent, "gently used" condition, with most priced in the $4-5 range. This includes titles for adults and children, including autographed and large print copies, videos, and audio books.
